Interior comfort skilfully honed to embody the “less is more” ideal.

1. The ideal driving posture has been achieved as the seats adopt a basic structure designed to maintain the natural S-shaped curve of the spine optimising comfort and safety.
   
   
   
   
2. Mazda’s unified display screens allow for important information to be immediately received by the driver through:
   - The Active Driving Display
   - The Wider Centre Display
   - The Instrument Cluster Display
   While providing quick accessibility to all systems with a commander control dial.
   
   
   
   
3. NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) reduction ensures that only natural or intended sounds enter the cabin, creating a calm and, serene space.
   
   
4. We redesigned the speaker layout and included a cowl side mounted speaker that directs the sound to the driver and passengers rather than reflecting the sound, resulting in clearer sound.
   
   
5. The in-cabin camera is set up to monitor the driver’s behaviour and physical condition in real-time. When a sensor detects the driver is taking his/her eyes off the road or sleep-driving, an alarm will be set off to assist in preventing an accident.
   
   
6. The evolution of i-Activsense (Mazda’s vehicle safety protocol) forms part of Mazda’s strategy to standardize safety and driver assist technology. We aim to enhance comfort, safety, driver monitoring, steering control, and more. This approach is evident in the advanced safety features now standard even on our entry-level Edition models.
   
   
7. Improved connectivity, and support for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ to cater to tech-savvy South African consumers.
   
   
8. The two-layer shift panel expresses our strong passion “to enhance Mazda brand value” through rich expression of light shifts. This is achieved by building on black as the base colour then adding an extra layer of transparency (using glass and acrylic) - Over 1,000 prototypes were created to achieve the final product.

The Skyactiv architecture was developed with a focus on human-centric design to provide the ultimate Jinba-Ittai experience.

1. Polymetal Grey Metallic was intended to possess a glossy, liquid-like texture and offers an entirely new expression of quality. When light strikes the body, it accentuates the beautiful form of the body. When in the shade, it takes on a solid appearance that possesses the characteristic sheen of polycarbonate.
   
   
2. A new lamp expression that symbolizes the future of Mazda KODO design.
   
   
3. The aggressive body silhouette, does away with character lines and instead adopts constantly shifting reflections that create an expression of vitality.
   
   
4. Tyres with optimised vertical spring action absorb vibrations, helping to reduce noise transmission into the cabin for a quieter ride.
   
   
5. The edge of the wheel arch is shaped allowing a seamless integration between wheel and arch, better highlighting the stylish look.
   
   
6. The integration between vehicle chassis and body was re-designed to receive input from the road surface, like human feet, and alleviate bumps and dips.
   
   
7. The suspension transmits input from the road in a linear fashion- developed and built to respond immediately to input from the ground. Adding a new layer of precision through controllability that meets the driver’s intentions. Thus, allowing the vehicle to mimic people’s innate ability to naturally maintain balance.
