MAZDA & ABSA CAMPUS STAFF Competition

1. Promoter

This competition is offered by Mazda Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd ("Mazda"), as part of the

Mazda vehicle display at selected ABSA Campuses, taking place from 28–30 September 2026 at the below addresses:

The competition will be conducted at the following ABSA campuses:

  • ABSA Regional Office, 9 Lothbury Road, Auckland Park, Johannesburg

  • Absa Regional Office Pretoria Campus, Block A, 337 Petroleum Street, Waltloo Pretoria

These Terms & Conditions apply only to the Mazda competition.

 

2. The Prize

Six (6) winners will be selected, with three (3) winners selected from each participating ABSA campus. Each winner will receive:

  • A 7-day Mazda CX-5 Experience

  • A Mazda CX-5 vehicle provided with a full tank of fuel at the commencement of the experience.

The prize is not transferable, refundable or exchangeable for cash.

 

3. Eligibility

To qualify for the competition, entrants must:

  • Be an ABSA staff member who engages with the Mazda dealer representative at the Mazda display during the competition period;

  • Hold a valid South African driver's license and

  • Provide the required personal information for purposes of entering the competition and contacting the winner.

Employees, directors, contractors, agents and immediate family members of Mazda Southern Africa, participating Mazda dealerships and agencies directly involved in the promotion are not eligible to enter.

 

4. Entry Mechanic

  • The competition will run from 28–30 September 2026 at the Mazda vehicle displays at the participating ABSA campuses.

  • ABSA staff members who engage with the Mazda dealer representative at the display will be invited to enter the competition.

  • To enter, participants will be required to provide their name, surname, contact number and email address to the Mazda dealer representative.

  • Three (3) winners will be selected from eligible entries received at each participating ABSA campus, resulting in a total of six (6) winners.

  • Each winner will receive a 7-day Mazda CX-5 Experience with a full tank of fuel.

  • The exact date of the draw will be determined by Mazda.

  • The Organiser's decision regarding the competition and winner selection is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

5. Winner Selection

  • Three (3) winners will be selected by means of a random draw from eligible entries received at each participating ABSA campus, resulting in a total of six (6) winners.

  • The draw will take place after the conclusion of the competition period.

  • Winners will be contacted using the contact details provided at the time of entry.

  • If a selected winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, Mazda reserves the right to select an alternative winner by means of a further random draw.

 

6. Prize Redemption

  • Mazda will contact each winner directly to arrange the vehicle collection and prize fulfilment.

  • Winners will be required to provide all necessary personal information required to administer the prize and arrange collection.

  • The 7-day Mazda CX-5 Experience must be redeemed within three (3) months from the date the winner is notified, provided that the prize must be redeemed no later than 31 December 2026. The prize may not be carried over into 2027.

  • The exact vehicle collection and return arrangements will be confirmed directly with each winner.

  • The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel at the commencement of the experience. Any fuel required thereafter will be for the winner's own account.

  • Should the advertised Mazda CX-5 not be available, Mazda reserves the right to substitute it with a Mazda vehicle of similar value.

  • Collection will take place from the participating Mazda dealership closest to the winner's event location.

 

7. Vehicle Use

Before taking delivery of the vehicle, the winner will be required to:

  • Sign Mazda's Vehicle Handover and Indemnity Agreement;

  • Present a valid South African driver's licence; and

  • Comply with all terms contained in the vehicle handover documentation.

The vehicle:

  • May only be driven by the winner;

  • Must be returned in the same condition in which it was received (fair wear and tear excepted);

  • May not be used for commercial purposes, racing, towing, off-road driving (unless approved by Mazda), or travel outside the borders of South Africa.

Any traffic fines, penalties, damages, insurance excesses or costs incurred during the loan period remain the responsibility of the winner.

 

8. Personal Information

By entering the competition, participants consent to Mazda Southern Africa processing their personal information for the purposes of administering the competition, conducting the draw, contacting winners and fulfilling the prize, in accordance with applicable South African privacy legislation.

 

9. Publicity

Winners may be invited to participate in promotional photography, video or publicity relating to the competition and the Mazda CX-5 Experience. Participation is voluntary and consent will be obtained before any content is used.

 

10. General

  • Mazda reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition or substitute the prize should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

  • By accepting the prize, winners acknowledge that participation and use of the vehicle is entirely at their own risk and agree to indemnify Mazda Southern Africa, ABSA, the participating dealerships and their respective employees and representatives against any claims arising from acceptance or use of the prize, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
