Founder of Veld and Sea, and winner of the Spier Sustainability award in 2019, Roushanna Gray is a wild food artist, foodie and avid forager. She shares her passion for the local edible landscape through immersive educational experiences, connection and creativity. For Roushana, her vocation as a food innovator is a journey that never ends as there is always something new to learn and discover.

GET TO KNOW RETANG

Together with her mother Nondumiso Phaahla, the community and the elderly members of the Bapedi tribe in Sekhukune, this mother and daughter team founded the Setšong Tea Crafters business deep in the rural areas of Limpopo. By sustainably harvesting indigenous plants they have crafted a variety of teas offering unique and enjoyable taste profiles and superior health benefits.

A master bladesmith and owner of Black Dragon Forge, Neels has spent more than a decade honing his skills and is proudly associated with both the American Bladesmith Society, where he attained his Master Smith stamp in June 2022, and the Knifemakers' Guild of Southern Africa. His aim is to produce practical, high-quality, no-nonsense products that "deliver the goods" consistently.
