Mazda Cabin Filters
A Mazda cabin filter removes pollutants from the air before they get inside your car, protecting your cabin air quality.
It's located under the dashboard, behind the glove box or in the engine compartment and is an essential part of your Mazda's ventilation system. It removes solid contaminants like dust, pollen and soot from circulating inside your vehicle as well as absorbing odours and gases such as ozone.
During summer, ozone can cause headaches and pollen grains may cause allergic reactions. Busy roads are also major sources of pollution so if you spend a lot of time in your car or drive in urban areas you will have even greater reliance on your filter.
Changing your Mazda cabin filter
After time, a cabin air filter becomes less effective and dirty as the filter paper clogs up with dust particles. This can result in an unpleasant smell and decreased heating and air conditioning performance caused by restricted airflow.
